My name is Laura. I'm from central Wisconsin and moved to the Milwaukee area in 2005 to attend UW-Milwaukee, where I received my bachelors degree in professional and technical writing in 2008. I worked in retail management for about ten years because I love meeting new people, and I love solving problems.  This lead me to Human Resources, which has become my career path. I was the Director of Human Resources at an engineering consulting company for about five years before becoming the HR Generalist/Payroll at Colectivo Coffee Roasters. I’m passionate about people being successful in their personal and professional lives, and I love how HR deals with the intersection of those two things.

I also love reading, enjoying a cloudy day with a crisp glass of wine on my patio, going for bike rides with my kids. I drink more water than any person I know, and I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 20 years (!).
